Create an unusual container arrangement on Sat., July 22

Create a beautiful and whimsical arrangement with floral designer Sonny Gada on Sat., July 22 at 1 p.m.

The hands-on workshop will be held in the c. 1829 Caleb Nickerson Homestead at 1107 Orleans Road, North Chatham. Each participant will bring home a completed arrangement. Sonny will provide vases and flowers but if you have an unusual idea, please bring your own container. If you have specific floral preferences such as roses or hydrangeas, please bring them for your arrangement. Also bring scissors or clippers.

Sonny, who is the NFA’s Colonial Gardener and a docent in the Caleb Nickerson Homestead, has been a floral designer and horticulturist for over 50 years. His arrangements have been featured in the Boston Museum of Fine Arts annual event “Art in Bloom.” A teacher and lecturer, Sonny brings a unique approach to floral arranging, approaching it as an art, and using all of nature as his palette.
