The Great Estates of Brewster are the Crosby Mansion, the Nickerson Estate and Sea Pines School. The chapter on the Nickerson Estate will be of particular interest as it describes Fieldstone Hall, the home of Samuel M. Nickerson who went on to make a fortune in Gilded Age Chicago.
